The election commission on friday announced dates for assembly polls in West Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The 1st phase of voting for 18 constituencies will be held on April 4.
As many as 56 assembly constituencies in West Bengal will vote in the 2nd phase on April 17.
The 3rd phase of voting will be held on April 21.
The 4th phase for 49 assembly seats will be held on April 25.
The 5th phase's voting will be on April 30. Polling for 6th phase will take place on May 5.
The counting of votes for all 5 states will take place on May 19.
Assam - Total assembly seats-126 C.M.- Tarun Gogoi INC(68 seats)
West Bangal- Total Assembly seats-295 C.M.-Mamta Banerjee AITC(191 Seats)
Tamil Nadu- Total Assembly Seats- 235 C.M- R. Manoharan AIADMK
Kerala- Total Assembly Seats- 140 Seats
Pouducherry- Total Assembly Seats-30
West Bangal- Total Assembly seats-295 C.M.-Mamta Banerjee AITC(191 Seats)
Tamil Nadu- Total Assembly Seats- 235 C.M- R. Manoharan AIADMK
Kerala- Total Assembly Seats- 140 Seats

Over 17 crore voters will participate in the polls across 5 states the CEC said.
